According to the article, "Hinton said the Conservatives could enact the changes immediately, ut she said her government has chosen to instead examine the program .... there are three prongs to that review process."
This is pretty transparent. They could do the right thing and extend the benefits to widows as they promised. Instead, they're stalling. Betty's justification: "this is pretty immediate."
No wonder she's down in the polls today.

Crawford is looking pretty pathetic in the polls. Looks like people are finally sick of this false right left dichotomy which has dominated politics in Kamloops for far too long.
Crawford is poison to the NDP chances.
It is a truism that as the NDP falls the Liberals go up.
Maybe Patch will join the NDP and run for them.
I think that people are coming to their senses and realising that if they want something done about climate change they need to vote for Stephane Dion.
Harper clearly doesn't care about the environment.
Jack Layton is going to loose seats next election and will continue nothing but his typical banter and political prostitution.
Elizabeth May realised that something needs to be done now, and that is get Dion in the PM seat so Canada can be a world leader in fighting climate change.

Sure he cares about the environment. Good one!
At least Dion wasn't a climate change denier until a few months ago, as your beloved Harper was, until the polls started to show it would be a vote-deciding factor. Its funny how a few points in the polls can totally change someone's mind on a issue.
Harper is the worst thing that happened to Canada since Mulroney.
I find it ironic that so many Canadians make fun of Americans for voting for George Bush, yet we some how elected Steve Harper. It really puts things into perspective.
Yeah, ever since those "evil conservatives" got elected the Canadian currency has nose-dived, the TSE is tanking and our economic prospects have dimmed...oops that's the story from bizzaro land. In the real world Canada's stock has never been higher.
Another reality check you may wish to make is examine the role David Orchard (yeah that David Orchard) played in Dion's victory. After he was done screwing up the right he moved to the middle and used his small core of activists to hijack the Liberals...that's sure working out well eh?
As to the global warming deniers...quailfy your terms here. Are we talking human caused global warming, or the very predictable and regularily re-occurring warming-cooling cycles the planet goes through. Now that man-made GW theory, coupled with the hype of one of the US's biggest political whores, Al Gore Jr, is fiction. BTW did you know Al was hanging out with Maurice Strong in the late 80s when Canada's greatest contribution to global pollution was the insane agenda of Chairman Mo and his sick brand of paternalistic socialism?
I can only encourage the lefties who still read and are capable of forming opinions, without having them spoon-fed by self serving opportunists, to re-examine some of your basic assumptions about the nature of man and what motivates him. I applaud the energy of your activism, if not the faulty philosophical framework in which you operate.

Anyone that takes a poll based on the few respondents seriously, needs to give their head a shake. The reality is if you want Hinton gone voting Liberal is the way to ensure it. But I must ask, Why trust the Liberals on anything ? When was the last time they actually did what they said ?
I quite enjoyed Dion's "speech" at the CLC rally, very inspirational.
