Kamloops and region left unrepresented

The Daily News reports that the Conservative government's Canada-B.C. Mountain Pine Beetle Advisory Board, despite the recent addition of five more members, still has no representatives from the Southern Interior. We offer a selection of quotes that cover the issue nicely.

Gary Lunn (federal natural resources minister): "[The committee] has broad representation from all areas of the province affected by the mountain pine beetle infestation.”
Alyson Robb (Conservative caucus relations director): "There's no rhyme or reason that there wasn't anyone chosen from Kamloops."
Terry Lake (Kamloops mayor): “We were not given any information about [the board] or asked for any expression of interest to participate.”
Peter Milobar (TNRD chair): "[There's] nobody from the southern Interior whatsoever .... I'm a little worried."
Betty Hinton (Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo MP, Conservative): "Could not be reached for comment." (Daily News)

Sound familiar?

Hey media and blog owner:

Are your pants on fire?

Is your nose longer than a telephone wire?

Keep spinning those lies........

what lies? the owner of the blog pulled direct quotes from the paper... I call that a credible source (regardless of what some people would have you believe).

and yes there is 1 person from the southern interior (1 person from the lower half of bc) on the panel but 9 from the northern half of BC how is that representation regardless of race? The blogger also forgot to mention that Kelowna has NO representation whatsoever. They are not part of the Kamloops Thompson Cariboo... hmmmm the first person's comments are therefore irrelevent.

credible?

The story was initially that there were no representatives from the Southern Interior.

The story inferred that Betty failed to get anyone appointed from her riding (typical of the media who think Kamloops is the whole riding)

But rather than admit any errors they just plow on with the premise that somehow we have all been hard done by in this riding, even though
others from the riding were selected.

Want to enlighten the distribution of members? Go to a map that shows the pine beetle spread in BC.....there just might be a strong correlation.

Lies, more lies, and the vendetta continues because the MP wouldnt give the media her cell phone. Maybe the MP has been damaged but an equal number of people have lost faith in those slinging the mud.

You've got to be the biggest Betty ass kissier in the world .How much does she pay ya to gush like that ?

You seem to be getting a little low on material....

The philisophical question that arises from your comment is intriguing though:

Is it morally better to kiss Betty's ass or the ass of Ken or Michael? Clearly you should declare your preference.

And a supplementary question: Is paid ass kissing lower on the morality scale than volunteer ass kissing?

Given the results of the last three federal elections and the latest poll, I think we are more into ass kicking than ass kissing...
