In a right on the money editorial today, the Williams Lake Tribune drew attention to federal inaction on the pine beetle crisis:
"If only a B.C. Conservative would stand up the way Nova Scotian MP Bill Casey did last week, and demand his government live up to its commitments to British Columbia.
Will Dick Harris or Betty Hinton or Jay Hill publicly demand their government wake up on this issue?"

PEDOPHILE IN PRINCE GEORGE.
A 53-year-old man serving a long-term supervision order for sexually assaulting boys is now living in Prince George, RCMP said Thursday.
Described by police as a predatory pedophile, Morris Gordon Wilson has convictions for sexually assaulting young male children four to 10 years old and is considered a high risk to reoffend, RCMP said.
Wilson was recently released from a federal prison, according to Staff Sgt. Quenton Smith. All his offences and connections are in Ontario. He has no ties in Prince George.
However, programs are available in Prince George that Wilson can access, Smith said.
RCMP warn parents that Wilson will seek out and befriend families with young male children and exploit this relationship to isolate and sexually assault the child. He has also been known to frequent public events and locations, such as public parks and public pools, seeking out opportunities, RCMP said.
Wilson is five-feet, eight-and-a-half inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
The long-term supervision order Wilson is serving includes the following conditions:
-- He is not to associate with anyone under the age of 14 years without a sponsor approved in writing by his parole supervisor.
-- He must report all relationships with parents or guardians of children to his community supervisor.
-- He must abstain from all intoxicants.
-- He is prohibited from going to a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 14 are present, or can reasonably expected to be present, or to a day care centre, school ground, playground or community centre. He is also prohibited from seeking or obtaining or continuing any employment, whether or not the employment is remunerated, and from becoming or being a volunteer in a capacity that involves being in a position of trust or authority toward any person under the age of 14 years.
-- He is not to associate with anyone he knows or has reason to believe is involved in criminal activity.
-- He is not to have any contact, directly or indirectly, with the victim's families without prior written permission from his parole supervisor.
When are we going to have an election, so we can get this lazy Reform MP, outta here.
